Royal Roads University located at 2005 Sooke Road in Colwood is just West of Victoria, north on Highway One delivers quality programs to meet labour market demands. The B.C. government passed the Royal Roads University Act June 21, 1995 to create a unique and innovative special purpose university to prepare learners to work in a knowledge-driven economy. The university was established with a view to excel at the provision of continuous learning for people in the workplace. RRU is the only public university in Canada solely dedicated to offering applied and professional programs. Now has a capacity service for 2000 students on a campus built for 300. The university aims at giving students the ability to learn and work effectively in multicultural environment. It has 2 buildings: Millward and Nixonare situated in the main campus building .Academic excellence and accessibility are the hallmarks of RRU.
