Troy University System - USA

The Troy University System consists of 58 sites in 11 countries and 17 U.S. states. It has a very large off-campus/distance learning program. It offers many courses in conjunction with the United States Armed Forces.

Troy University formed in 1982 after the campuses in Dothan and Montgomery gained independent accreditation status. In 2004, the Board of Trustees voted to drop "State" from the University's name. By August 2005, all Troy campuses again unified within one accreditation.

Troy University is a public university located in Troy, Pike County, Alabama. Approximately 6,300 students enroll there. The campus has 35 major buildings on 460 acres.

The Troy University System includes three other campuses in Alabama State. The three campuses are Troy University at Dothan, Troy University at Montgomery, and Troy University at Phenix City.
