The Troy State University System was formed in 1982, when the campuses in Dothan and Montgomery were granted independent accredition status. The Troy university is a public institution comprised of a network of campuses throughout Alabama and worldwide. Troy University offers various degrees such as Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's and Post-Masters certificate. The Troy University campus is a tract of 460 acres.
Some master programs offered at the Troy State University are Master of Science in Management, Master of Public Administration, Master of Science in Human Resource Management, Master of Science in Criminal Justice, Education and Master of Science in International Relations.
For undergraduate studies, the various colleges are College of Arts and Sciences, College of Communication and Fine Arts, College of Education, College of Health and Human Services and Sorrell College of Business.
