The University of Alabama was founded in 1831. This public coeducational university is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. University of Alabama is one of the three major research universities including Auburn University and University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The University of Alabama is made up of a singular campus made up of about 1,000 acres. Eight divisions of the University grant undergraduate degrees.
The divisions are College of Arts and Sciences, Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration, College of Communication and Information Sciences, College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Human Environmental Sciences,
Capstone College of Nursing and School of Social Work. Also, the only publicly-supported law school in Alabama is at USA.
