University of Medicine and Pharmacy HCM city, Vietnam

University of Medicine and Pharmacy HCM is recognized as one of the most renowned universities in pharmacy and medicine. This university offers graduate and post graduate courses in both medicine as well as pharmacy. The university gained its present name in 1976. But the precursor of this university was University of Saigon, which was founded in 1941.

In 1961 University of Medicine and Pharmacy HCM was divided into two parts such as the University of Pharmacy of Saigon and Medicine University of Saigon. University of Dental Care of Saigon was established in 1964. Finally in 1976 these two universities were absorbed together and formed the present day University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Vietnam.

The University of Medicine and Pharmacy is known for its quality. At present the university includes seven faculties such as

• Faculty of Community Health Care
• Faculty of Medicine
• Faculty of Pharmacy
• Dentomaxillofacial Faculty
• Medicine Technique and Convalescent Faculty
• Faculty of Foundation Sciences

University of Medicine and Pharmacy has got a hospital as well known as the university hospital.
