University of Technology HCM was formerly known as Phu Tho National Center of Technology. It was founded in 1975. It came to be known as National Center of Technology in 1972. In 1974 it got merged with Thu Duc Institute o Polytechnic and renamed as University of Technology.
The students of University of Technology have professional skill. This university includes 10 functioning offices, 11 faculties, 4 training centers, 10 science research and industry transferring centers and a limited company. Around 45,000 students have graduated and 1,503 students have post graduated from University of Technology of Vietnam. 25 doctors have also passed out from this university.
