School of Management and Languages Heriot University- Scotland

Heriot-Watt University is the eighth oldest higher education institution in the UK. The university originated as the School of Arts of Edinburgh in 1821, and in 1966, Heriot-Watt became a University by Royal Charter.

The School of Management and Languages is one of the largest in the University.

There are four departments:

  • Accounting and Finance
  • Economics
  • Languages and Intercultural Studies
  • Management

Management is based at both the Edinburgh and Scottish Borders campuses. The School of Management and Languages offers a limited number of scholarships to applicants from non-EU countries who have been made a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on one of the School's full-time undergraduate degree courses.

The Accommodation Service allocates places on campus. There are approximately 4,500 students studying at Heriot-Watt's Edinburgh campus and just over 1800 residential places are available. The majority of these places are allocated to new students. The Martindale Library serves students and staff based based at Heriot-Watt University's Scottish Borders Campus at Galashiels. It is an integral part of the University's Library and IT networks, the headquarters of which are at the main University Campus in Edinburgh.
