Scottish Agricultural College Scotland

The Scottish Agricultural College is dedicated to the study, research, consultancy and advice of the agricultural and industrial community of Scotland. It is supporting land-based industry for over a century now. Edinburgh, Ayr and Aberdeen are three campuses of Scottish college of Agriculture. Apart form the three campuses the college has 23 advisory offices, eight veterinary centers and five research farms.

The SAC is divided into three main working divisions:

  • Consultancy
  • Education and Training
  • Research

    The subjects taught in the college are:
    Agriculture, Animal Science, Biology, Business and Management, Chemistry, Ecology and Conservation, Environmental studies, Food, Garden Design, Geography, Horticulture and Landscape, Poultry Studies, Rural Enterprise, Sport and Leisure and Tourism.

    Facilities:
    The Scottish Agricultural College has three libraries located at the three campuses. It has books, journals and electronic resources required for teaching and research purpose of the college. IT centers are available in the libraries which also has experienced staff to assist. The students have access to accommodation facility in the college campuses and also outside. The new students are given priority. All the three campuses of the college have residential halls.
