Lampeter University of Wales

Established in 1822, Lampeter has been the most ancient and smallest institution in Wales. With a student strength not exceeding 900, Lampeter provides an environment that is amiable and cohesive.

Courses Offered
Various courses are offered by the University under some of the following Departments:

  • Archaeology and Anthropology
  • History
  • Philosophy
  • English
  • Classics
  • Film and Media
  • Management & IT
Scholarships
20 university scholarships with a maximum value of £2,000 and 18 departmental scholarships with a maximum value of £1,000 per annum are generally awarded by Lampeter.

Facilities
The main library stocks over 200,000 titles and over 530 journals. It is open during the entire week and even during evenings and weekends. The library resources are fully grouped and listed and enable a smooth search for books through the computerized records. Work spaces, DVDs, rooms to watch videos and computer terminals are also present in the Library.

Childcare facilities are available at the University to help students with kids. The University provides Chapel facilities to students seeking spirituality.
Lampeter possesses single rooms with washbasins to accommodate a large number of its students on campus. Free laundry services are provided by the University to wash Bed linen, duvet covers and towels.
