Queen's University, Belfast -Northern Ireland

Founded in 1845 as the ‘Queen's College', the Queen's University is situated in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Scholarships

The diverse Schools of the University offer different types of Scholarships. Manifold types of scholarships are offered by the University also according to the different levels of education.
For example, Queen's offers the following set of Entrance Scholarships to those who have performed exceptionally well in the Entrance Scholarship Competition:

* David Russell Lappin' Scholarship, a scholarship valued at £200 per year and holds for three years.
* Sullivan Scholarship, a scholarship valued at £650 per year and holds for three years.

Some of the scholarships awarded by the Queen's School of Law are the:

* Human Rights and Human Migration Research Scholarship
* Human Rights Centre Bursaries for incoming LL.M. students

Overseas Research Students Award (ORS) are scholarships meant only for candidates from foreign countries who wish to pursuit research at Queen's (and not an undergraduate or postgraduate degree).
A first class Honours Degree is a prerequisite to be eligible for this award. As the award does not cover living costs, candidates chosen by the University for this award are entitled to a University Studentship and a yearly allowance of £12,000, a total amount which will pay for the tuition fees of the scholar and suffice for his/her living costs.
